A question about Curly hair

Hi I've had my curly wavy hair cut recently and I'm wondering should I be finding clumps that are thicker fuller than the rest of my hair so one side is thicker bigger than the other. Should I be finding some strands that are longer than the rest of the hair .

I don't know what I should expect. My instinct is that it shouldn't be uneven in thickness and length what do you think?

I think it's fairly normal
My clumps change every wash day as does how the curl bounces up
I don't tend to find massively uneven length but yes to the clumps

Normal for my curly hair.

Also normal for my long, curly hair. It's never the same two days in a row.

Thank you. What I really meant is an area at the back of my head which is shorter than the rest of it as if the stylist has cut a bit more off than the other side

Every day is a different hair day with curly hair! Grin

My DW has hers cut by a specialist who cuts each curl individually when they’re dry so she gets the same length all over. Prior to that she had the unevenness you describe

I have that but because each curl is different every time I wash it, it's rarely the same way twice Grin

No curl is the same, each curl or ringlet bounces back differently. After my hair is cut my curls are really tight but after a few days they loosen out/relax a bit.

Honestly this depends on who cuts it. I go to a specialist in London who cuts it wet (I tried the curl by curl method with someone else and hated the outcome) and she gives me a perfect shape every time. Previous hairdressers have never managed this.

Who do you go to please?

@SchoolAdminNeverGoodEnough Grace at Unruly Curls near Leather Lane. She is brilliant.
