Pear shaped short arse with a wedding to go to - which of these dresses?

It’s a wedding with a fashionable set, of which I am not one of.
I never wear dresses anymore and am carrying a bit of extra weight.
is something like these with heels frumpy?

I’ve had things from this website before and they’ve fit well, I know I won’t be fashion-y, but just want to look half decent.

I think the last one in dark teal is by far the nicest.

I'm no style guru, but as a fellow pear-shaped short-arse I've always found large prints look frumpy. So I'd go for 3 or 4.

2 won't be as flattering as you'd want.

My sister and I are both pear shaped short arses 😅and buy from this site! My sister actually owns the last one in dark teal (and a couple with a very similar cut but different prints) and it is really very flattering and quite 'dressy' as well as being really comfortable. So that one has my vote!

I think number 2 could work really well too but it would depend on the comfort factor for me, it kind of relies on a slim waist and flattish stomach to pull it off which I personally wouldn't be too confident of after lots of wedding food/drink...

On a pear shape the last one would be most flattering.

@Whichwhatnow ha it’s a great site isn’t it! that was my concern with the more fitted style, I have a bit of a c section pouch and when I eat too much (which I inevitably will) it gets way more pronounced!

If you're short and carrying even half a pound of extra weight you cannot wear bodycon - they're are for 6ft size 10s only! Empire/skater/fit and flare styles.

Actually having said all that I have a dress a very similar shape to dress number 2 of your links and it looks great (if I say so myself 😆) - the wide neckline balances the hips/thighs. However I wouldn’t want to wear it on any but my slimmest days… and it does ride up a bit if I’m not careful. A fit and flare shape is a LOT more comfortable and forgiving.

After all, your 'lots of extra weight' is only taking you from the sold out size 8 (the only size that is sold out) to a size 10.

Definitely the last. The others all look a bit dated, whereas the last is softer and potentially more versatile later too.

ive ordered the ten, and then an 8 in the sleeveless original I posted so I can compare and send whichever one doesn’t work back.

now to decide on shoes! I think sandals as I look a bit frumpy in court style, but not sure what colour. I have some (subtle) gold platform sandals which are super comfy but but not sure if they’re a bit much!
