Particulate matter is unavoidable. Toxins are in nearly everything we eat, drink or breath. I live in Chicago. When the wild fires were raging in Canada, I was in Colorado. Upon returning home, as the plane was landing I thought "gosh, it's really overcast today." No, it was a thick blanket of smoke that traveled from Canada to Chicago.
As soon as I got outside of the airport it smelled like something burning. My car was filled with the same burnt stench. What surprised me most was walking into my house where I have air purifiers in each room, and my house smelled like smoke.
Environmental pollution impacts us internally and externally. How do people safeguard against what cannot be controlled?
