Outfit help for night out please

I have two nights out planned over the next month. Both include an evening meal at a fancy restaurant and drinks afterwards. I would usually wear a dress, but I'd like to wear trousers/jeans and a top. I'd love your suggestions please? I'd like to wear heels or heeled boots with the outfit.

I'm 5'7, every pair of wide leg trousers I've tried recently have been a bit short to wear with heels. Long length are always too long on me,

@swedishgirl, no one on MN knows whether you usually shop from Primark or Proenza Schouler. Or whether your preferred style is Boden or Bode!

Could you give a rough budget, and an indication of where you usually shop? Also - whether you’re keen to seek out new stuff or will only look in physical shops.
