I've had one of their jackets since 2016 (I think) and it seems to have lost its waterproof. I sort of fancied replacing it anyway because it's a little bit tight now (I'm not really a size 10 any more!!) But just wondered if people had bought one recently which style did they go for? I had the parka before and I quite like the typhoon as well as the tour but the tour is £50 cheaper. Is the typhoon worth the extra? Or is there a better raincoat anyone can recommend? I have one for cold weather but want a lightweight one for when it's wet and cool. Thanks

I gave the Tour in khaki & I adore it. I really want the white one too but it seems to be out of stock. You can reproof them by using a special waterproofing wash. I'm sure there's something on the website regarding this.

Same with mine, I got very damp during heavy rain in the summer. I bought a Rains jacket but would still like to re waterproof my Protected Species if I can.

Guidance attached.

How do you like your Rains jacket btw? I'm tempted by their long jacket in ash

I like my Rains jacket a lot. I got it when ASOS had money off.

I've just bought one and am very impressed with it. If you do re-waterproof, please come back and report on whether it worked!

Just thought I’d give some feedback on my recent (Vinted) Protected Species commuter coat! Unavoidably caught in the massive downpour on Wednesday last week. Cycled fast (late for school pick up!) for half an hour in London traffic. When I took the coat off, dry as a bone on my top half - even I was surprised as my technical Rab outdoor jacket would not have fared so well. So it’s a huge recommendation from me :-)
