I found a truly lovely jumpsuit but DD is shocked I wasn’t planning on wearing a dress.

I want to go try things on, in a proper shop. Every time I find something I like online I’ve found out that’s the only way to buy it.

Im trying to lose a stone so it’s not like I can measure myself now and plan what size I’ll be.

I went to Phase Eight and was disappointed.

am willing to travel two hours from Sevenoaks in Kent for the right shop. Max budget £250 (is that stingy?).

I love JJ’s house outfits which look fab on the models but looking through the gallery of buyers photo’s feel disappointed at the amount of creases. Can’t work out if that’s lack of the right bra/underwear.

I want a more of an evening type thing, don’t want a jacket, love A line, something to possibly flatter my belly which I’m working on but not sure it’s shifting. Knee length. Sleeves a must, don’t mind length. Favourite colour is blue, def not black. I would love a wow look rather than just smart.

I’ve spent hours trawling the net these past few months, I’ve four weeks to go and I’m totally flustered now. Any thoughts would be truly appreciated.

I will have this problem at some point....I'm 6 feet tall, 35 inch inside leg and size 9 ( narrow) shoe!!
Plus I don't wear dresses and it will be a BIG wedding.
I shall be posting myself!!!!

Wear the jumpsuit - if you feel great in it and it’s smart and you have the accessories then wear it!

I don't think this is a genuine website

I recently bought from Hobbs for attending a garden party at Buckingham palace. There were lots of Hobbs dresses around that day. Many similar styles but different prints. All lovely. Lots work differently so we didn’t all look identical. A range of ages were wearing them and I’d imagine they’d be mother of the bride suitable too.

Hobbs does wearable , pretty dresses but your post is exactly the reason why I think BIossomtoes Oska dress is such a good choice.

Not the first shop one would have thought of but with a dramatic hat and good shoes an outfit which stands out. And not a "mother of the bride" outfit.

Pre-loved Wedding and Occasion Outfits UK | Facebook

This page is your friend for questions like this! I bought a Veni Infantino dress for 2 weddings I went to this year, pricey yes but stunning, I had so many compliments at both weddings and I can probably sell it if I wanted to for at least 50% of the value I paid new.

Do you have a John Lewis within your travelling distance? If so see if they have a personal shopper service at their store and if so book an appointment. It's free and they pick out stuff you would never have tried on yourself and it works every time. I have done this on 3 occasions(one of which was my son's wedding) and I have loved every outfit or piece of clothing I have bought and worn them multiple times!
