I'm a lady of mature years, a dress size 22 and I find it tremendously difficult to find denim jeans that fit properly. My waist measurement would fit a size 20 in skirts & trousers but I have to get a size 22 because of my rather large backside - and then have an extra button added to the waistband so I don't get a gap there.
I don't have the physique to wear 'low-rise' jeans and prefer a high waisted style where the waistband covers my belly button. Most modern jeans manufacturers consider high rise jeans to have a waistband that barely reaches the belly button so I'm left with the small of my back left bare when I sit down . Can anyone reccommend a make of jeans that really do come up to belly button level at the waist?
I can't wear 'skinny' jeans either as I have heavy thighs so I need something that's a generous fit around that area. I'm only 5 ft 5 ins tall and need a 29 inch inside leg so it;s normal for me to have to have the leg lengths shortened; it would be nice to find a make of jeans that doesn't need to be shortened in the leg, though !
