Sun lotion / SPF for autumn/winter?

Afternoon all,
I've never worn sun lotion in the autumn or winter before 😬 and feel as I'm now mid 30s it's probably a good idea to start!
I don't really want to wear full on sun lotion everyday as it makes my face shiny and greasy etc.
I have been using Garnier Amber Solaire over make up super uv 50 spray but is this enough? Any recommendations please.

Are you in the UK?

UV levels are very low here during the winter even when the sun is out. And lots of people have low vitamin d levels by spring. So I'd think carefully before applying factor 50 throughout this period.

I've found the following website really handy for figuring out how long to spend in the sun

It tells you how much sun you need for vitamin d synthesis and how quickly you will burn

Same here. I live in a very rainy climate with little direct sun in winter, so don't bother with spf in fall and winter.

If you have a daily moisturize with spf, or a tinted foundation with spf that should be enough to prevent any sun damage. Maybe if you are outside for more than a few hours you might add extra.

Ok thanks yes in the UK so maybe I don't need to worry about it too much then!
