I've never bought anything from there before but found myself in a store for the first time ever today and actually liked a few bits so much I ended up buying them.

Don't know an awful lot about the brand - what are your thoughts?

Neither have I. But there is one near me, and I really liked some of their mini dresses in purple and fuchsia. Not sure if I am up for a mini dress though, after wearing midis for so long.

I did that with H&M a few weeks ago !! I'd never been in before and was pleasantly surprised.

I've never been in their shops (I'm not in the UK), but bought a few autumn tops online recently and really liked them. I sent one back as the sizing was wrong and got a very prompt refund, which is good.

It's expensive though, so I have to restrain myself.

My brother got me a jumper from there for Xmas and. I love it. Nice quality and stylish.

LadyBird1973 · 14/09/2023 22:47

I have a lovely summer dress from there, which has held up well, quality wise. But a top I bought, started to disintegrate after a few months. It wasn't cheap either. So hit and miss got me.

MotherofGorgons · 14/09/2023 22:50

Everything is so hit and miss these days. Price is no indication of quality, at all.

Breakawaytour · 14/09/2023 22:51

I like it, nice clothes and interiors stuff

stickybear · 14/09/2023 22:52

Lovely things but poor quality in my experience - I had a beautiful dress that had to go back after one wear cos it split along the seam, and a jumper that got bobbly and washed out very quickly. It's all so lovely though, it's very tempting Grin

Their customer service is amazing in my experience.

Lovely bags too

I've had a few excellent things from Oliver Bonas in the last year - including some really cool jade green corduroy wide leg trousers and an insanely flattering double layer midi dress.

I like a lot of the styles/colours as they are a little bit different from what you see elsewhere, but I do think it's a little on the pricy side. Wait for the sales.

FrogInTheFog · 14/09/2023 23:05

I was out shopping looking for some basics tbh .. I wear a lot of Hush type joggers and Sweaty Betty leggings and a sweatshirt caught my eye

Ended up buying a pink sweatshirt, a navy one, a couple of striped tops and a jumper.

I love it. I have a couple of dresses and have been eyeing up another. Usually synthetic fabric, but I'm not as sensitive to this as some, and they seem to specialise in a silky fabric that falls really nicely. Good for dresses, jumpsuits and trousers. A good alternative to Whistles and much cheaper.

whatchagonnado · 14/09/2023 23:07

Live them. Good fit and makes me think I look on trend (for my 50+ self!). I've got their wide leg trousers which are excellent and some great tops

JudyBlumesBlubber · 14/09/2023 23:09

I got an OB handbag that broke on the first use. Finally managed to get it returned - not without a bit of pushing - and exchanged for jewellery with the annoying credit note. Some of that then quickly broke.
I gave up then..

Yesterday I wore a dress I bought in Oliver Bonas in 2010. I've worn it probably 50 times and it's still going strong. Having said that, I wouldn't expect quality standards to have been maintained as pretty much all the shops have gone downhill in the last 13 years in that respect.
