So due to the timing of the school run, it's down to me at the moment to do my daughter's hair in the morning. Yet I just can't for the life of me even get a basic ponytail to work. (I'm a guy, which I guess explains part of this.)
I have watched numerous YouTube videos, and they make it all look so easy. But I seem to be unable to get the whole thing looking good.
I'm wondering if there are tricks such as, I don't know, spraying the hair with water or something? Or whether the type of hair tie used makes a difference? On the videos they just somehow magically get the hair tie on, but even this seems to go wrong for me. I did see one video where the person did something like powdered their hands (rather than wetting the hair) before doing it.
Is there some ideal brush that makes it all work? Or magic spray or something for while styling?
I don't know, I guess it's all just about practice. But I simply wonder if there are any special tips. I'm thinking a hair band might be the solution to get around my seeming inability to get things smart. But again, any nifty hacks would be great.
