Help me keep dry this winter

I need you help to find a long rain coat I can wear this winter for taking my son to and from school. Must be waterproof and ideally something long and bonus points if warm too. Does anyone have a good coat they could recommend? I've searched and most are either not waterproof but warm and long or waterproof but short and I don't want soaking legs preferabley. Of course I will have an umberella but I'm thinking when the winter gales hit they usually just blow inside out 😅 thank you all in advance for your recommendations 🙏🙏

Budget please? Have you tried the Seasalt Janelle? It's widely reviled on here as dowdy, but it looks fine on me, I think. Very long, properly waterproof, good hood, and if you buy a size larger you can wear a jumper underneath for warmth. I got it half price in the sales.

Otherwise, Didrikson.

Protected species.
And they are stylish as well. I find Seasalt so old fashioned and frumpy, shapeless and blah.

Careful! We are not allowed to use the word frumpy on here.😀
Personally, I find the Seasalt fine for the school run.

Loads of brands do warm and waterproof - you probably just need to focus on outdoor brands or Scandi/North American brands. Some ideas…
