Is this coat a good idea?

I am looking at tweed style coats, what do you think about this style? Not this exact one, but this type? I’m really drawn to this style but I don’t know if a townie like me would look a tit?

Depends how much it is. Tweed can bobble and while those pockets are useful I can imagine they’ll end up making someone look like they have saddle bags!

Ah I hadn’t thought about the saddle bag look! I really struggle with coats and keep getting drawn to these as something warm and smart for the winter. I think it’s such a beautiful fabric

Me and DH wear them on shoots in the countryside. I'd not wear them any other time.

Well I've got one and it's great - very warm and practical.

But... I live rurally and have horses and dogs. So it's good for dog waking (deep pockets) and scrubbed up I can wear it at agricultural fairs and the like.

Would I have worn it when I lived in London ? Nope
