Any piercers around for advice?

I had my seconds done nearly 3 weeks ago. My firsts were done many years ago with a gun but this time round I did my research and found a well respected piercing studio.

My ears are still really sore and the main reason is due to the stud being so long. I understand this is due to initial swelling but now everything seems to catch on it - hair strands etc even though I am so careful. Sleeping on my side makes them sore too but I do seem to turn on to my side at night.

I know they take weeks to heal but I just can't see how they will improve at the moment. I feel a shorter post would work much better.

Can anyone please advise. Is it normal for the ear to still feel sore at 3 weeks?

I would go and speak to the piercing salon.

Yes I will, just wondered if this was normal

I would say not. Your lobes should be pretty much healed by 3 weeks.

Ok thanks - they definitely aren't!
