Haircare recommendations for DD(13) with hair that is oily AND dry!

DD's skin in quite teenage oily right now, but she seems to be seeing some improvement with Effaclar.

Her (shoulder length) hair gets quite greasy at the roots, but seems dry lower down with quite a lot of fly away and broken hairs. She washes it most nights and lets it dry naturally so it isn't heat damage.

She's very low key about her appearance, doesn't wear any makeup etc. But she would like her skin and hair to look healthy.

Any suggestions for shampoo/conditioner/other products she could try? I am absolutely useless at this stuff myself so no help. At the moment she just uses a basic shampoo, Treseme I think.

Less washing.

It's just like with skin: the oil is secreted to protect the skin and hair, so the more you remove it, the more is secreted. But it never gets down to the end, so they just get drier and drier.

If she feels she really must wash every night, she could use conditioner every time but shampoo only twice a week.

She could also try curly girl compliant products, which are less drying overall. Use the curlsbot website to check whether hair product ingredients are CG compliant.

Make sure she's only shampooing the scalp and only applying conditioner from the ears down
