30+ women - where do you find your fashion inspo?

I miss the days of picking up a fashion mag for a pound and that being where I get all my fashion inspo...now I feel clueless! Do you still look at magazines? Websites? Celebrities? Help!

I gave a full and frank response on a similar thread - and killed the thread. 🤨

But nothing ventured …

Vogue Runway on my phone.
Vogue subscription on phone. (Not nearly as satisfying as the several decades of reading the print magazine.)
Have about .. <counts> 120 clothing websites saved to my screen. Probably look through a fair few of them every week. Plus other random sites.
The FT - particularly HTSI, has been brilliant for decades.
Very occasional Instagram browse, mostly brands rather than ‘influencers’.
Don’t pay too much attention to the Times / Guardian but they do sometimes alert me to designers new to me.
Being out and about in London / other UK / European cities (rare!) seeing what other people are wearing …
I have once or twice been introduced to brands via MN posts - but mostly … not.

Is that enough? Grin

What’s HTSI please @MuddlerInLaw ?

It used to be How To Spend It - a Weekend FT style magazine widely derided for impossible extravagance. But amidst all the £300k watches and £10k a night holidays there’s always been coverage of really interesting designers, jewellers, perfumers and craftspeople, and out of the way shops. It’s been an education over the last few decades - since I was at university - so in a way it’s been part of my upbringing. Definitely something that’s helped to guide and shape my tastes as an adult, and the only British newspaper whose style pages are worth more than a glance.

I like watching YouTube stylists (they are probably on Insta too but I keep it simple).

Forgot to add:

Extremely rare but just occasionally the clothes / style of a TV show or film might have a profound effect. The main female protagonist’s wardrobe in The Honourable Woman, MotherFatherSon, or Industry, for instance. Or everything in Peaky Blinders. Or an astonishing red dress in a film whose name I forget.
