Help with dress needed for work evening do!

Sorry for the same old type of post, but we have a weekend away with my husbands work and I need to get a dress for the evening event. Technically it’s black tie but I’ve been to these events before and there is usually a real range of dresses so I’m not too fussed about going for a proper black tie dress.

Im 5 foot 9 and around a 12-14. I have put on a bit of weight over the last couple of years which sits mostly on my stomach. I also have IBS and can get quite bloated at these sorts of things, so whilst I like fitted dresses with a pencil skirt style, I wouldn’t want anything really bodycon.

I don’t want to spend a fortune as I don’t have a lifestyle where I wear posh dresses very often. Maybe up to around £100/150.

I am happy with print or plain and tend to suit jewel colours and black.

im fine with my arms. I like the reiss one on brand alley but think the 12 would be tight and the 14 is out of stock. Quite like the Ghost one too but might be slightly too sexy with the splits and low cut for my husbands work colleagues!
