Gel nail remover?

Is there something that I can buy to remove my own gel nails? (Rather than just picking it all off!)

Soak in nail varnish remover for 10 minutes (make sure it has acetone in it). You can either dip your nails into it, or soak a cotton pad and then wrap foil around your finger to hold the cotton pad in place and keep it damp.

Mylee make a gel remover that you apply like nail varnish and then scrape off after 3/4 minutes, I recommended that since it's a lot quicker than the usual method!

Take mine off with acetone, soak a cotton pad in acetone, wrap it around my finger with tin foil then push the gel off with an orange stick

Pure acetone, cotton wool pad cut to size and tinfoil strips

Soak pad in acetone, put on nail and wrap tinfoil round to keep it in place. Leave for 15 minutes, check it is scraping off, leave longer if necessary

I used a remover I bought from amazon, a light blue bottle, mylee magic gel remover. Applied like a nail varnish and you scrape the gel off.

TBH, the gel remover and the soak were time consuming, and seemed to leave my nails in more of a state then when I just peeled them off. Peeling is far more satisfying too...

Careful, a lot of the gel removers on Amazon/eBay are nothing more than paint stripper!!

You need to soak i pure acetone, not normal polish remover with acetone.

Been doing mine years.

You need pure acetone. I soak mine in this in a bowl and scrape/file and repeat. Takes a while but do it when watching tv.

I use the mylee one but then I only use mylee products for my home gel nails.

I use a file to take off the top coat and make any glitter a little rougher, then soak a lint free wipe in the remover and clamp it to my nail with a plastic grip. Normally takes 10-15 mins per hand (can't do both hands at the same time when doing it yourself).

File the top coat off first or it’ll probably not work.
