Black tie dress, not polyester

I’m going to a ball at the end of September. The issue I have is that I’ve been looking at dresses and everything that is suitable is polyester.

I get so hot in polyester, really can’t stand it.

Where can I have a look at lovely dresses that are suitable and aren’t polyester please?

Look at John Lewis and filter by fabric. There's a fair number. I like this one.

Should have added, I’m 50 and size 18, so as much as I like the first dress not sure how it will look on, or if the pink is too young!

John Lewis lets you filter by material. here is a search showing their maxi dresses in viscose or 100% silk - for example.

If budget allows this is gorgeous and is viscose. Lots of colours/prints available.

Silk is absolutely very cool to wear. It’s lovely.
