Anyone else have this problem with dungarees?

I have a pair of the fat face Lewes dungarees, which I love, the only problem is the straps are constantly falling down and, to be honest, it puts me off wearing them! Does anyone have any ideas to remedy this or do I Just have weird slopey shoulders?! TIA

Don't wear dungarees?

TheShapeOfAnOwl · 03/09/2023 20:37

That's a really helpful suggestion @Freshair1

OP - are you crafty at all? Maybe try shortening the straps yourself

Alternatively, could be a simple job for a seamstress

Looking at the pics of them, I'd say the problem is the shaping at the back. The join looks very low down iykwim.

I've had exactly the same problem with some styles. I've now got carhartt ones & they don't fall down at all, but they are definitely higher at the back.

Sorry, posted twice for some reason

Thanks for the replies! Yes I think the ‘low-down ness’ of the back is the problem, I’m just wondering if it would ruin them if I tried to sow them up? (Or ask someone who knows what they’re doing to!) or do I just give up, sell/give them away and try a new pair

I have this problem too, love dungarees but have narrow shoulders. My Moto ones I can cross at the back so they go over opposite shoulders if that makes sense, stops them falling down. Not sure if you can do this with the fat face ones though?
