What trainers were these?

I was in Barcelona last week and saw a few girls wearing lovely leather (I assume leather) trainers. I think they might have a had some suede detail and had a small brown label on the back heel, up at the top. I've had a look online and can't see anything like these. 2 girls were definitely American so maybe not available in the UK? Definitely weren't Vejas.

Could be Mu trainers maybe? I think they are a Spanish brand. Or maybe HOFF, but they tend to be quite colourful.

Nope it was neither of them. They were like a tennis trainer. Very plain. And just the smallest brown leather label. I couldn't make out any writing.

Do you have a photo of something a bit like them, @Plump82 , what colour, what sort of sole, ant detail?

I would normally ask too @LondonLovie But the 2 American girls I saw were while we were on a roof top bar and they were taking lots of photos for what I assume was for the gram! Didn't want to interrupt. The D.A.T.E ones are also similar but not them as they didn't have that square symbol.

The one that came to mind was Madewell’s court sneakers.

Any chance they’re just regular old Adidas Stan Smiths? They’re what half the recommended shoes are based on since they’re been around since before 1978 (and were named after Stan Smith in 1978) and they’ve been around ever since. And as you can see below, it’s impossible to read the “adidas” part in the back in the tan color way.

@WhichEllie the suede was just on either side and it was very pale, couldn't tell from where I was sitting if it was white like the rest of the trainer or very pale grey.

@5YearsLeft We both thought Stan Smith at the time but they definitely weren't. If I never find out what they were I might get those you linked to as they're cracking. They actually looked almost like something you'd get from Clarks! But going by their age and style and being American, I really don't think so. So a trainer style but nothing you could actually ever do sports in. Perfect with the dresses they were wearing. There was no colour on the trainer apart from the little brown bit at the back.

I tried to check tags on Instagram to see if they had posted pictures of themselves on the roofrop bar (I know, a bit weird!) But nothing.
