Outfit ideas please

Got a work conference this month. Around 70 people attending. Including CEO, manager and the 20 people I manage. First time I’ll meet them.

The weather shows it will be 20 degrees with possible rain. The event will be held at a building with smart-casual dress code.

Not sure what to wear. I’m 27, very short and slim. Have a bit of imposter syndrome so feel like I need to dress to impress but not sure where to start! I think more towards the smart side.

Fitted pencil trousers and a nice button down blouse?

Trousers are a pain because I’m around 5ft, can rarely find the right length

Lucky you, meeting everyone for the first time! For a smart casuual dress code, I'd go with tailored trousers and a nice blouse, or maybe a chic dress with a blazer. Since its going to be 20 degrees with possible rain a lightweight trenche coat might be a good idea too. I'm also quite short and slim, so i find heels or smark ankle boots give me a bit of extra confidence.
