If you’re an apple shape with big boobs, what do you wear?

I’m stuck in a rut of skinny jeans with flowy shirts & blouses. Feel I look a bit dated.

Im not 100% sure I am an apple but I do have big boobs, skinny legs and carry (too much) of my weight on my belly. But I have a defined(ish) waist above the blubber.

I do like wearing a dress but finding it hard to find something casual enough to just throw on.

Help me please!

Hello, doppelgänger! So hoping for some genius insight here... Grin

H& M cigarette leg trousers (size up maybe even twice) are great for showing the great legs . Nice flat front holds in tummy. A French tuck or half French tuck with a Zara satin blouse. Knitted jumper dresses skim over my apple tum without hugging it with opaque tights and boots of any variety.

🙋‍♀️

I too love skinny jeans and flowy tops. I will probably always wear that combination sometimes.

However, I have taken to wearing a line midi skirts with fitted tops tucked in. I also need a bit of a heel. Nothing I can't walk in, but I need the lift to straighten out my midsection a bit.

I also like a mini skirt (not super short) with a v neck sweater and a collared shirt underneath. Sort of preppy looking without being fancy-dress-cheerleader-esque

Same shape as you - booby, carry weight on torso (size 20), slim legs, waist. I like a shirt dress, and also the shirred dresses that are around at the moment work for me. I also really love kick flare jeans (slim in the thigh then flared from the knee), which I wear with loose-fitting tops with a low neckline. Skinny jeans do feel a bit dated now, sadly (though I still wear them on rainy days).

However, I cannot claim to be particularly fashionable. Mainly posting in case anyone has any recommendations! I'm always looking for jeans with generous waistbands.

Ha this is me too. Any weight gain goes to my stomach, love handles and breasts and never to my hips, legs or arse.

Only I don't like floaty tops and skinny jeans feel a bit dated.

Agree with all the advice so far. The heel thing is annoying but true.

I prefer wearing trousers or jeans, mid rise (too high or too low both look bad) and then I'll tuck in my tops. Leaving them loose, especially as I like high neck not v necks (scrawny neck issues) was not actually flattering on my bust or my belly. Trinny does some stuff on this, how women often prefer to try and cover up but it can end up looking worse. And how no one looks down on your stomach like you do.

Maybe have a look at Seasalt trousers, the Crackington are flat fronted. I like the Levi boyfriend jeans for casual.

Dresses do not suit me at all. I'd probably need pretty short to balance my proportions and then it'd be too much leg and boob. My only dress is a Galaxy style but definitely needs heels.

Im old-ish (just turned 57) 5'4, getting on for 12 stone.
I love my mid rise skinny jeans, I wear a size 12. Skinny legs and a reasonable bum Smile
Trousers I need a 14, as I have a tummy, the waist seems higher up...
I do wear a lot of black, it's my comfort zone although in the last few years and for work I wear dark grey and navy.

As a 38DD, depending on where I buy from, it's a 16-18, however I don't do tight or fitted, I'm not comfortable with my boobs on display, if you get my drift, so sometimes get a 20 for comfort.

I do wear what I like, and what im comfortable in, mainly T-shirt and hoodie, jeans and trainers, in the summer the same but a vest tops and denim/shorts.

Work. Black stretchy trousers (Sainsbury's), nice T-shirt under a long sleeve jumper.

That's me Wink

Yes, yes, yes!!!
If only the annoying fat on my love handles could be shifted to my flat pancake arse, I’d probably look ok!

I’ve never attempted a French tuck… somehow it seems to accentuate my fat tum (thanks c sections)

I do love a shirt dress too, but often have to size up to get it to do up over my bust (thanks 34hh boobs!)

In case anyone hadn’t noticed, I’m fed up with my body shape today.

Can anyone recommend some casual dresses? Perhaps midi? Something that could be thrown on for the school run? I often feel I need to do hair & make up to pull off a dress, no idea why, it just looks odd on me otherwise
