Dermal fillers

Hi, I’m thinking to get dermal fillers in my tear trough and upper lip. I only want a natural adjustment to resolve volume loss. However I have some work events in 2 weeks. Would it be best to get filler before or after this event? I would like it done asap but need the swelling & bruising to not be present at the event

It should have settled within two weeks (assuming you go to a highly reputable person).

Go to a really good place. I never get bruised from mine.

You may be advised to get cheek filler to "prop" up the tear trough filler. I had 0.5 ml filler in each cheek before I had the tear trough and and my face swelled up like CRAZY. Like five times it's normal size although I think most people don't experience it as badly as I did. I couldn't leave the house all weekend. I didn't swell much with the tear trough trough but lip filler swells quite a lot. You should be fine after 2 weeks though.

My practitioner won't do tear troughs due to the rate of complications so I would say after the event if you find one who will. There is a place that's highly rated in Brighton that does them but my guy is a plastic surgeon and has put me off. I have had a tiny bit of bruising that is easily covered with makeup on cheeks marionette etc so they should be ok.
