Has anyone tried this or anything like it? I need something other than plucking. Laser won't work due to my colouring.
Any thoughts please?

I just came on to ask the same !
did you get it ?

Raindancer101 · 18/09/2023 19:30

Ooh I'd love a review. I've been considering a facial epilator as I swear by it for my legs.

BerfyTigot · 18/09/2023 19:30

I've got the Braun face spa pro. Had it for about 5 years and still going strong

ArcticBells · 18/09/2023 19:38

Does it get rid of hair permanently?

Ikeepmybumcheekshidden · 18/09/2023 19:52

You do realise that an Epilator's literal function is to 'pluck' each hair out (just in quick succession!) 😆

@ArcticBellsNo it doesn't, it just plucks!

The only thing that is permanent (or close to permanent) is Electrolysis or IPL. But with IPL, you MUST shave before you do it - not wax/pluck/Epilate/Thread, it HAS to be shaved for the IPL to work at all as it uses the pigment in the hair root which shaving leaves behind. Any other method of hair removal takes the root of the hair, meaning IPL won’t work at all

SeeSawSeen · 18/09/2023 20:14

Go for electrolysis if you can at all afford it - it is miraculously, gloriously permanent if you find a skilled practitioner.

I had a facial epilator that came with the one I bought for my legs. When it died on me I just used the leg one on my face, I haven't felt the need for a new face one.

It is massive compared to the one that came with my braun epilator. It won't be very easy to do anything fiddly with, you would be as well using a normal one designed for the legs.

Mine was similar to this but without the brush. If you want to do eyebrows then you would need something small like this. For chin and moustache a standard epilator is fine.

JustMaggie · 19/09/2023 10:36

There are electrolysis kits you can buy to use at home. I've been thinking of getting one for the white hairs on my chin.

Pinkywoo · 19/09/2023 10:40

@Ikeepmybumcheekshidden but IPL doesn't work on blonde hair. I thought that epilating, like waxing, weakens the root so eventually the hair is much finer.

onlyconnect · 19/09/2023 11:03

I did buy it. It does not pluck coarse, thick hair which is what I need. If you need it for softer hair it's ok. I complained and they refunded me half.

I don't have the right colouring for laser.

Thank you. I suspected that would be the case so thanks for saving me £66 !
