It’s gotta be Mango for me! I don’t think I have worn a pair of jeans as much as I have worn their Sienna jeans. I love their Bretton tops and their current cardigans with their Chanel esq vibe. I think that the quality is better than Zara too and things look nicer in comparison.

@staycaysandvacays No I will take a look! Though not supposed to be buying stuff 😱

Zipps · 29/08/2023 15:27

Mango are great especially for basics.
I've got cigarette trousers and shirt dresses that I've had a few years still going strong.
Their website is confusing to order from
(dc says) but I hate online and prefer to buy in store anyway when I've tried on.

Me neither but I can't help myself! I also love that I can favourite everything and keep an eye in case prices drop or stock is low!

I’ve loved Mango jeans for years. They’re great. They have a pair of slim (not skinny) mid-rise jeans as a staple most years and they’re SO flattering. Go with all types of shoes, too. Hope they have them this AW!

BansheeofInisherin · 29/08/2023 16:36

Hmmm everything I want on Mango at the moment is sold out.

Niftythrifter · 29/08/2023 18:38

@Prettybubblesintheair yes 2% elastase

I like mango stuff on the john lewis website, but everything I have ordered i had sent back as I can't get a good fit, jeans I seam to be between a 10 and a 12, waist coat medium to small I do have a full bust, large too big.

Loopylooni · 30/08/2023 05:59

Oliver Bonas here : always turned my nose up thinking it was just tacky, badly made Boho as an add on to their stationary but a friend bought a lovely, stylish Boho dress and I was converted!

Usually I wear Mango and Anthropologie

hattie43 · 30/08/2023 05:59

Levi's. I spent ages looking for jeans that fit well. Tried Levi's this summer and they are perfect fit and feel in a few different styles.

AceofPentacles · 30/08/2023 06:54

Anthropology has been my most bought from this year, followed by Cos, and some knitwear from Toast and Sezane . Just ordered two pairs of work trousers from m&s so we'll see how that pans out

I love Levi's for the feel and fit but a lot of the jeans have tiny side pockets, and I normally use those pockets for keys and wallet. I am so used to always using those pockets that I end up not wearing the Levi's.

Whohashiddenthebiscuits · 30/08/2023 15:05

Cos & Other Stories, Anthropologie and a bit of Maje. If I could afford it, I’d definitely shop more Maje, Me&Em & Ba&sh.

Ive a few Mango items (some great suede boots from Spring) but I dunno, while a lot of it is ok, I struggle to find things I love

I love allll the dresses at Reformation but don’t have the budget, lifestyle or supermodel body…

Yes to Reformation dresses! Like you I just window shop. There’s 70% off sale and there are couple I think hmm maybe but will need heavy duty Spanx to suck my belly in!

Abercrombie dresses are looking lovely as well, lots in cotton or linen.

Riverlee · 30/08/2023 16:05

M and S - have really improved their offering in recent years.

smooththecat · 30/08/2023 16:29

That’s interesting, the last order I did at Mango I had to send back as the quality wasn’t great, might have just been the things I chose. Maybe should try again. I usually have quite good luck at Zara, if you buy their higher prices you normally get a good quality item. I wish they would allow sort by price on the website.

pharmachameleon · 30/08/2023 16:51

I buy almost everything I own from Me and Em or Sezane. I buy less than I used to when I bought from Zara etc but definitely gets lots of wear from everything I buy.

BansheeofInisherin · 30/08/2023 16:57

Don't Sezane ever do sales? I like their shirts but they never seem to be on sale.

bluejelly · 30/08/2023 17:51

Another vote for Massimo Dutti. Natural materials, decent quality and stylish. Also most items made in Europe not Asian sweatshops.

GoblinMode · 30/08/2023 17:53

What's the sizing like on Mango jeans?

bluejelly · 30/08/2023 17:53

(Ps nothing against Asian factories per se, it's just the working standards are often abysmal! Feel much better buying something made FairTrade - failing that in the EU...)

SausageAndEggSandwich · 30/08/2023 17:58

Massimo Dutti stole £150 off me when my return went missing.

It was all really shit quality which I was really disappointed about as I found some lovely bits in TK Maxx and eBay and wanted to add more.

There's no shop near me either so that's the last time I will buy anything from there

Speakerbox · 30/08/2023 18:00

I came to write Mango too!
Also really like Zara.

BHRK · 31/08/2023 19:45

Sezane do “archives” which is a few quid off. But the sizes sell out so fast that if you see something you have to be willing to pay full price.
I love me and em but the prices are nuts

Niftythrifter · 04/09/2023 18:40

How are people finding the Sienna jeans? I bought another pair in the dark colour as I love them so much!
