6 hole or 8 hole DMs?

I bought 6 hole DMs last year, and (once I broke them in) I love them. I dithered between 6 and 8 hole ones though, and wonder whether I made the right choice. Which do other people prefer?

Also, I struggle to find socks that are long enough to exclude drafts - can anyone recommend some? I bought the DM ones, but even they're not long enough!

The ones with 8 eyelets look better but the 6 hole ones are easier to put on and undo. You made the right choice IMO.

You did. I've had both and preferred the 6-hole for wearing as they were'nt as high on the ankle. I sold my DMs and got Solovairs instead. I love my monkey boots

Thanks, I feel reassured! I'll look at Solovairs next time, but I'm pleased with my DMs so far. I cleaned them using the DM wonder balm last night - they always look great afterwards.

What colour are they @LuckOfTheDrawer ? I used to have a few pairs but I saw someone in black ones with red roses on and they looked fab.

They're just plain black ones - the ones you linked to are beautiful though 💛.

A woman was wearing them with a dress. I tend to notice shoes.
Plain black is probably the most versatile. Easy to wear with black tights or leggings.
