What do people think of the brand? For a long time is was a shop that I knew from Spanish airports only, but recently I've been getting adverts on my FB feed. As I'm weak and pathetic I've finally broken and ordered a jacket that's in the sale Blush

It looks lovely so I'm hoping it's lovely in real life. I love bright colours and prints so it probably should be a brand I look at more.

I like the design. I first saw them in Prague.ive never bought because it seems a bit pricey.

I have a Desigual shop in a prominent position in town. I’ve never admired anything in their window.
Messy, scrappy, scribbled on, felted, mismatched, shapeless, overlogo’d, 80s inspired (I was there and there was a lot better stuff to be inspired by) overpriced black and neon tat.
You’ve been sucked in by their Internet spamming. Send the jacket back.

I love their bags, the clothes are a bit hit and miss though.

pikkumyy77 · 28/08/2023 16:16

I was attracted to some if their stuff about ten years ago but its very unforgiving if you are not rail thin.

Very popular in France. Had some nice bits from there. Good quality.

Mammyofonlyone · 28/08/2023 16:50

I used to buy a lot but that was about 10/15 years ago. To my eye it looks dated now

CuriousPorg · 28/08/2023 16:53

About ten years ago all my colleagues (academics) had desigual coats, wanting to look smart but a bit 'quirky'. I think of it as the price bracket above Joe browns.

Same, their bags are lovely, clothes - not so much

SM4713 · 28/08/2023 17:01

I used to have 2 winter coats from them. I loved that they were more interesting than an all black coat and just a bit quirky. I haven't bought from them since pre-covid though, but this has inspired me to have a look.

PurpleChrayne · 28/08/2023 17:02

It's a bit "sixth-form drama teacher".

Agree about the Joe Browns comment. Would buy from both if they weren't so pricey!

TortelliniTart · 28/08/2023 20:26

I dislike 90% of it and the other 10% doesn’t fit me or is too expensive.

itsnotmeitsu · 28/08/2023 20:56

I wouldn't compare Desigual to Joe Brown, quality-wise. I have had a couple of Joe Brown things but wasn't keen, but I've got loads of Desigual > jackets, t-shirts, jumpers, etc. I do get a great discount on-line because of my massive amount of buying 😁, but the stuff I first discovered and bought from Desigual in Spain around 15 years ago I'm still wearing now.

Tallgirlsrock · 28/08/2023 21:18

I love Desigual. There is a shop in the resort we always go on holiday to and if I don't buy clothes, I buy bags. I find Desigual different and Quirky and always get nice comments. I often buy things online in the sale when I'm home too, plus it lasts and lasts.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 28/08/2023 21:25

+1 for sixth form drama teacher

I have one summer dress from Desigual. We live in the back of beyond, but a local store carries a limited amount of this brand. I bought it on a whim from the year end sale a few years ago and it is quite nice for tropical vacation evenings.

Otherwise the brand is too wild/colourful for me. I don't usually do crazy prints.
