Nail colour like this

Hi
does anyone know of a cheap cheerful brand that does something like this?

https://www.qvcuk.com/Perfect-Formula-Ruby-Gel-Coat.product.230128.html?sc=SRCH

my nails are in good condition but I'd like a ruby tint so it's less obvious when they need redoing! I'm mixed race and don't want a pale neutral clear combo, but something like the colour shown here.

thanks

have you looked at dior nail glow, nail inc have a sheer pink tx, and opi do a nail tx again that is sheer and would give similar results.
the dior nail glow should have some dupes by now as the color match is more similar to what you're aiming for.

Thank you
what is tx please?

Get a bottle of ordinary ruby red and tip some of it into a bottle of clear nail varnish until you get the effect you want.

Thank you. Why didn't I think of that, good plan.

Essie do a pink tint nail strengthening polish, i use it and it looks great!

greenspaces4peace · 28/08/2023 03:27

treatment. OPI and Nail Inc have them listed as strengtheners.

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 28/08/2023 04:53

Essie sells one very similar.

EmmaEmerald · 28/08/2023 09:51

Thank you all, I will try the pink Essie one before doing any experiments with red and clear!

Off topic but that brush looks like it would be an absolute nightmare to use. How are you supposed to grip that tiny cap?

You mean the link I posted? It's fine, maybe it just looks small in the pic?

i bought a kit once but it made my good nails peel so that was off putting.

The Essie one above is better than the much more expensive Dior Nail Glow, I've used both.

highlandcoo · 28/08/2023 23:50

@Robocop91 and others, thanks so much for the Essie Pink Tint recommendation. I love Dior Nail Glow but it's so expensive!
Have ordered the Essie one straightaway.

SiobhanSharpe · 29/08/2023 10:46

The Perfect Formula pink and ruby pink nail treatments are really nice but that price is taking the piss! It has risen hugely in the last two or three years.
And yes, the brush isn't great but you do get used to it.
Have you looked on eBay? You sometimes see it on there.

SiobhanSharpe · 29/08/2023 10:52

There are some on eBay around the 20 quid mark. Still quite a lot and the Essie one looks just as good for much less.

greengrassed · 29/08/2023 11:02

This is good

I rate a lot of essence make up

EmmaEmerald · 29/08/2023 14:41

Thanks everyone, I'm ordering Essie.

re the Perfect Formula, they do still do kits on QVC, I had one for under £30 with four items, but while I really loved the Ruby Red wash, I really felt it damaged my nails. I see the kit has gone, but I'm not sure I'd recommemd Perfect Formula though I know it gets rave reviews.
