Shampoo/conditioner recs for very dry, brittle, knotty, combination hair?

Help! Since having covid last October, my hair has been falling out for 8 months straight. I've been advised this is likely the result of having a virus, but this is now the 8th consecutive month of loss and no sign of it slowing or stopping. My hair is also extremely dry, knotted and tangled and generally in a bad and brittle state.

Anyone got any recommendations for any "magic" shampoos and conditioners that could help? My usual go-tos just aren't cutting it! Thanks.

I struggled with massive hair loss after losing a bit of weight and found that Mielle rosemary and mint oil really helped - and pretty quickly.
Other than that Olplex number 3 is the only thing that makes my hair feel silky after it being so brittle from heat damage! I put it on four about 4 hours before washing.

This is where a good hairdresser will advise, have you asked them? You may have to pay more but it could well make a huge difference. I asked my hairdresser what to use after deciding to go grey and she was brilliant. sorry I can’t be of more help, xx

Olaplex here too. I use Olaplex 8 which I think is basically a weaker version of 3 but can be used more like a normal conditioner (ideally leave it on for 20+ min though)

Oh and I also tried Philip Kingsley after lots of online recommendations and it did absolutely nothing special.
