Mumsnet, can you help me find a pair of soft lined cargo trousers for DS1?

He’s 16 and sensitive to textures, and has eczema so needs cotton. His favourite ever item of clothing is a pair of size 14y Mini Boden utility cargo trousers with a lovely soft lining, but they’re falling apart after several years of wear and he’s outgrown them.

Boden don’t make anything similar for 15-16y and tbh as a tall teen he’s now in adult sizes at Next, H&M etc. but I can’t find anything in adult sizes that has that lovely soft cotton lining.

Does anyone have any ideas?

These say cotton, the smallest is U.K. 27 though so you would have to measure his waist.

Have you tried Uniqlo?

I had come on to say Uniqlo too - DH has some cargo style joggers from there that are pretty soft

My ds13 is autistic and very sensitive to touch and the height of an adult but very skinny (26w34l) - the only trousers he wears are these:

Most of these suggestions don’t do a 26w (it’s a nightmare for ds) - Uniqlo starts at 28.

@Whatsthepoint1234 it’s a nightmare isn’t it? DS1 has just about grown into W28 now.

Are those River Island ones lined?

They aren’t but the material is very soft and smooth. Ds also used to exclusively wear Boden before he grew out of kids clothes. He does have another pair of trousers from urban outfitters but I’m unsure if they still do them!

They do still do them, these aren’t lined either however they are very soft.

I’ve ordered some of those River Island ones so fingers crossed 🤞 will let you know how he gets on with them!

i really think Boden missed a trick not having this kind of thing in tall teenager sizes (see also things like the Sherpa hoodies).
