Hair growing back different texture !

First off , I shouldn't complain , I am glad my hair is growing back .
I was unwell last year and had anaemia due to blood loss and subsequently extensive hair loss .

A few months down the line , some intensive conditioning and hair-specific vitamins , my Ken Dodd hair is growing back wavy !
As in , from the roots it feels like a corrugated surface (but quite sleek )

I had my hair change texture in pregnancy years ago . But this is a revelation !

My hair was always thick and poker straight, but with a 'kick' at the ends. The only suggestion that it might not be poker straight, was my tendency to get frizzy in the rain, with the occasional little corkscrews in the wispy hair around my ears and nape.

Then I developed an autoimmune disorder that resulted in hairloss, and menopause further thinned my hair.

Suddenly I have natural curls and waves! I suspect my hair was always curly, but with a very soft curl that was flattened out by the sheer weight of my hair. While I'd love to still have all my hair, I have really embraced my curls and love them, too. A fair exchange 😄

Unfortunately the frizz is worse now.
