John Lewis rewards

John Lewis's rewards nowadays is a joke, insulting, and pitiful. They offered me 2 hot drinks for August 2023. What's the point? I guess they are hoping I take a friend, then buy some other cake or muffin. It was meant to be a reward for myself, for being loyal to John Lewis. The previous month, my reward was a discount for two cakes and sandwiches at Hufkins. Nothing against Hufkins, but they are not my favorite cafe in JL as they have a limited cake selection and no gluten-free stuff. What happened to the tea and cake reward on the 5th-floor Place to Eat. I guess the cost of living/economic crisis is hitting John Lewis too. I say, either do a good job of the JL rewards or just get rid of the silly rewards altogether. Stop taking your customers for granted.

My reward for August was a glass of Prosecco and a cake each for 2 people. I was happy with that. There must be a range they offer.

I had cake and prosecco in July. We were away pretty much all month 😆

Montty · 25/08/2023 15:36

I haven’t had cake or a hot drinks for months and months. I’ve never had Prosecco!!

Montty · 25/08/2023 15:38

Just looked now and all I have are 20% off frames (I don’t wear glasses) and 15% off nursery (I don’t have children).

I have the same!

I've not had a coffee & cake voucher in ages-probably pre covid and the other 'offers' are pretty dire too.

Given that it costs over £3 an hour to park there's not much of an incentive to visit the store for a browse and impulse buy - and I generally love JL!

The rewards are irritatingly city-centric: it assumes everyone lives near a John Lewis store to have the free drink or pick up the tiny pannetone/candle or recycle the beauty empties for £5 off. My nearest JL is well over an hour away so 95% of my spending with JL is done online.

Can't remember the last time I used a My John Lewis reward.

I do think that in terms of the rewards like the beauty cycle and clothes cycle discount they should look at giving people a one off code to use online with a time limit of say a week. My last good reward was a hot drink and piece of cake.
