Please help me find nice comfy but interesting shoes - something like Converse or Rocketdog styles in a turquoise or jade type of colour

am happy to consider sequins, patterns, etc

am in frivolous mood but they MUST be flat and comfy and good for walking

they are pumps - you have ruled them out. Stop going against your own rules

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 21:04

they're CANVAS pumps
that is entirely different

pointydog · 01/03/2008 21:06

lolol

ahundredtimes · 01/03/2008 21:07

How about Vans?

I have just spent fifteen minutes looking for turquoise vans. I'm quite obsessed now by the lack of turquoise casual footwear.

pointydog · 01/03/2008 21:07

can you see yourself in 'em?

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 21:07

heh

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 21:07

vans have those very fat soles don't they?
a bit like wearing two slugs on your feet

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 01/03/2008 21:09

but they might be american

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 21:09

I like the tops but I don't like those wodgey soles

pointydog · 01/03/2008 21:17

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 22:12

ooh pointy, those are lovely and odd
I don't think they are the ones though, I want something for now till the summer time, those are Autumnal

olive I like them and I swoon at their glitteriness but I am still holding out for turquoise

But, but, but Franny there was a gavel and everything.

iheartdusty · 01/03/2008 22:14

I have just spent nearly £100 on 3 pairs of shoes

it is all your faults

I would never have found those websites alone.

(none are turquoise or sparkly, all are variations of trainer types and are brown-ish)

FrannyandZooey · 01/03/2008 22:19

I refute the gavel
there will be no gavelling on my thread unless it is done by me

100 you missed my marvellous epic skirt thread didn't you? I asked for a beautiful colourful skirt and everyone ran round getting links for about three days

then I bought a black dress instead LOL how we laughed

especially when the black dress didn't fit and I then went back and bought the first skirt someone had linked to at the beginning of the 800 post thread

superb it was

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2008 09:26

hmm SOMEONE has bought those Gola sunrise ones off Amazon
they were there last night and now they are not, I strongly suspect an MNer

never mind, I have found them cheaper elsewhere [breezy] so you have done me a favour YOU FILTHY LOW DOWN SHOE STEALER

MrsBadger · 02/03/2008 09:41

franny I am late to this thread but offer for your perusal
swirly metallic turquoise pumps
patterened green pumps with strap
and some outrageously hotchpotch slip on trainer things

I thank you

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2008 09:45

MrsB very good choices as usual
the first ones I did see earlier and are nice but a bit too pumpy - I want something slouchier and comfier really

the rocketdog ones I have in black - they look v nice but are not that comfy (dodgy feet)

and the last pair are certainly worth considering - v interesting, thankyou

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 02/03/2008 10:02

and a few more outre converses:
tie dye
60s
patchwork

threestars · 02/03/2008 10:17

I haven't read all of these, but I've got some metallic gold Kurt Geiger boots, which look exactly like Converse boots...
Very comfy but less scruffy than normal Converses.

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2008 12:45

I like the patchwork Converse, but am still holding out for turquoisey / green colours

what I would REALLY like is those ones that look like tapestry or something in a turquoise colour, from earlier, but in a lo top

hmmm
