I need a bag for a party, I thought this might liven up a beautiful halterneck but plain navy dress? I've actually got this very same bag. Bought it from Amazon a few years ago. It's very well made and really gorgeous. I've had lots of compliments when I've been out with it.

I think I'm the lone voice here so I'm not sure it matters what I think but in my opinion ita hideous, sorry. It's a bit twee and not something I'd choose, the metal bit is a weird detail. However if you like it, go for it!

I have a Butler and Wilson bag which is similar. It might be at least 20 years old. It used to get a lot of use, but haven't used it much recently.

Don't overstuff it. The metal and the fabric separated in the middle of one side. I managed to force it back but I need to be careful how much I put in it.

Yes that is what I was brought up with.

I own that bag! Bought it years ago to wear with a 40s style dress for a ball (and the matching hair clips too!).

Therefore it's a yes from me.
