Like walking boots but not walking boots?

I need a sturdy boot for the winter. I’ve been wearing walking boots but need something with a padded sole. I’m finding that the soles on walking boots are too hard. Any suggestions? Something as soft as a pair of Skechers ideally.

I got some sorrel kinetic boots last winter and they are wonderfully soft and warm

I’m not too sure what I like. Fairly sleek and comfortable for ageing feet. Some of the boots suggested so far look good. Thanks!

I found canvas boots walking boots are great. Look nice and really lightweight and comfortable. Mine are from mountain warehouse but not sure they have them this year.
Failing that Reiker boots are well styled and very comfortable .

Try Celtic and Co, they have fur lined lovely lace ups

Two years ago I bought an Austrian brand called Legero. Goretex but wool! So comfy. Good sole and look ok with a dress as well. They are now a bit scruffy but will buy them again.

Hoka boots, soft bouncy soles that feel like trainers, goretex, sturdy. Fantastic

Solovair. I walked miles in mine last winter. Wore them mainly with skirts. A much classier version of DMs and better made, here in the UK (in fact they're part of DM's origin story before they shifted to the far east).

Anyone interested in the FitFlop ones mentioned above - Sports Direct have got some at £98, much better than £140 direct at FitFlop! I'm seriously temped.

Josef Seibel boots are very comfortable,I have 4 pairs and walk miles in them.

I walk 5 miles most days sometimes 12- 15. Allbirds are my favourite. Especially trail runners if you walk on uneven terrain.
