Necklace - 16 year old boy

Okay maybe not S&B but you guys have best ideas !

Thinking ahead for DS birthday coming up - I would like sone sort of necklace - North Star/st Christopher / so something ideally in silver and perhaps could be engraved ?

I don't want flimsy and will break easily but also don't want huge chain so he resembles Mr T ....

being honest, is this something he really, really wants? My 16 year old would run a mile at the suggestion. I get that’s may be my family. If you’re sure it’s something he would want then fair enough but if it’s your idea of a gift as you’ve said in your OP, I’d have a rethink.

My son got a gold (plated) chain for his 16 birthday but he had asked for one and I checked that the one I was buying was acceptable. He would 100% not have worn anything with a pendant like a St Christopher etc. I think you will have to involve him in the choosing or you may be making an expensive mistake.
