I don’t know if it’s my age but I cannot get foundation to sit properly on my skin at all. Particularly around my cheeks and my nose. I think I’ve got a good skin care routine and that includes exfoliating twice a week. I have tried lots of ways to get it to sit nicely but it just doesn’t. It’s patchy and foundation makes the pores on my nose look white.

I tried skincare in the morning
I've tried no skincare in the morning
I’ve tried skincare with primer
Skincare with no primer
I have tried no skincare and just primer

Primers I have tried range from Primark to Elf to Charlotte Tilbury.

I have applied with a brush, fingers and a beauty blender.

What on earth am I doing wrong.

Current foundations are Charlotte Tilbury, Rimmell and I have just bought the new Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser. All the same.

I have this problem! I'm mid 40s and whatever I try or use just sits in my iines, folds and pores. After a couple of hours it's disappeared apart from the pin like dots clogging my pores. I've used primers and serums and setting sprays but alas it makes no difference.

I've got on better with powder foundation like Bareminerals, but I have fairly recently discovered Laura Geller balance and brighten and it is fab! Nice buildable coverage with a dewy finish. So easy to apply too. Only issue is colour matching. I got light but I think I may be better suited to the fair shade loving it at the moment and think I'll invest in the blush and Bronzer next!
