What Jeans for Apple Shape?

After a passing comment made by my DD today that "skinny jeans are so old fashioned", & being in need of a pair of jeans, I was wondering what jeans would suit a short Apple/inverted triangle shape that's "in fashion"? I just can't see myself pulling off the super baggy look...?

As a fellow apple-shape, I'm very interested in any replies you might receive! I always go for a half-elasticated waist style of jeans but even then my big complaint is that I can never find a pair that's high enough in the waist. I can get jeans to cover my tummy but they often dip in the small of my back so that I end up with a draught round my back and am unable to tuck anything in at the waust properly.

I stick to straight cut. Neither fashionable or unfashionable.

Trinny is on You Tube with two videos about jeans which is worth a watch. If you have a John Lewis near you you can book on a consultation with a personal stylist just for jeans and they can advise. There is no pressure to buy. I enjoyed my appointment.

Are you tall?? Height affects what suits as well as shape

I like Levis boyfriend and Gap girlfriend. I get easily swamped in clothes and these are looser without being over the top.

Short I'm afraid. Small hips. Big bust and waist.

I bought these last week and they are surprisingly flattering, I sized up so they are looser. They have a raw hem, so you can easily shorten to your perfect length. They also look good turned up. I was very impressed with the jean options in Zara, lots of styles and different washes, go and try loads on, in lots of sizes too.
