Seasalt coats/jackest - sizing?

I have seen a Seasalt waterproof jacket that I like and I'm thinking of getting for autumn/winter (as I don't have a decent waterproof jacket).
What is their sizing like?

I'm an 18/20 but I would need a 22 in a coat/jacket (to go over and close comfortably at my chest/boobs). Are they true to size or on the large size or smaller size?

I really don't want to order it only to discover it's be a waste of time doing that.

I'd say they were mainly true to size, I find the trousers can come up on the large side sometimes. I'm a 20, occasionally a 22 in some brands, with big boobs and have the Janelle coat in a 20 which fits fine even with a thick-ish jumper underneath.

I have a couple of Seasalt coats. I would always size up if in between sizes. I would go for 22 to accommodate for an extra layer if it's very cold and not take into account reviews on the website which always seem to suggest that item comes up big when in my experience it doesn't.

If you're booby, go up a size

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

I myself would always go for the longer one that keeps my bottom dry...

Also even if you will be buying from Next, if you look up the coats on the seasalt website they have measurements for each garment which are usually reasonably accurate

I'd go for the second one. Nicer colour and longer.

I bought a size 12 seasalt coat last year after similar deliberations. I'm a 12 in most shops although a bit of a tight 12 at the moment and usually need size 14 in coats or jackets to fit comfortably. I went by the measurements on the website in the end and ordered a 12 even though my instinct was a 14. It was the right choice for me. Fits well, bit of room but not too big, the 14 would be better if I wanted to fit lots of layers under it but I would overheat so i don't. The size chart is probably your best bet.

I just bought a Seasalt jacket, I’m a 14-16 and the 14 fit nicely. I used the measuring guide on their website and it was spot on

Also free returns if you order direct from Seasalt

I've had 4 different styles of coats from there. 3 I'd have sized up but the reversible one I had (slightly different to the one youve linked to) was absolutely huge on me.

I thought I'd come back on and give an update.

I bought the second coat and when it arrived it was plenty roomy across the bust area but was snug across my shoulders.
I also thought it gave me an "Inspector Gadget" look (probably down to the colour), so it has been returned.

I'm still on the look out for a coat that covers my bum and is waterproof (doesn't have to be fleecy lined or anything, because I can layer up underneath it), that has a hood and that when I put it on I don't look like I'm wearing a circus tent.
