Snail mucin

Has anyone tried this?
Seems to be such a hype atm and virtually all the reviews are 5 star.
Is it really that great?

My dd uses it and says it's great. I think it's grim!

It’s not very kind to the snails is it? Making them crawl over a wire grid like that.

Came on to say the same thing.
The slim produced for these wonderful face creams is made by stressing the snails out by placing them on wires. They then 'blow bubbles' not quite the term.
The slim is then collected
As a keeper of giant African land snails I find this barbaric.

I certainly wouldn’t use it myself, the thought of snail slime smothered over my face is just grim. It was dd who asked about it as it’s all over Tik Tok.
I personally only chose cruelty free products and did ask her think about how they must ‘harvest’ the slime! Was hoping it was some kind of synthetic version but obviously not as I’ve just googled, not nice.
