Are all diffusers created equal?

I have very long wavy hair. I'm experimenting a bit with merwave type products. I usually use my Dyson air wrap or let dry naturally and do heatless overnight curler.

Questions...

Is there a diffuser attachment for Dyson air wrap? I can't remember what model I have as it was a gift.

If no... Are cheap diffuser hairdryers okay? I don't want to spend on another hairdryer ideally

I got a really cheap universal diffuser attachment from Amazon (I think it was Remington or Babyliss or something). It fit my hair dryer perfectly and it worked really well. I still generally air dry but it's a good option if I want to get a tighter curl. I recommend trying a cheap attachment before splashing out on anything fancier.
