Anyone remember Birchbox?

Very strangely this morning, almost a year since the last one was delivered and it looked like the company was going bust, we had a Birchbox beauty box delivered. The subscription is paused, so we haven't paid for it, and there's nothing on social media to say the company's back up and running. Anyone else has one turn up out of the blue?

They started posting on their US social media a couple of months ago and the UK website said it would be up and running in June and all outstanding boxes honoured. The company has been bought I think.

I did have 3 boxes outstanding but my bank refunded me so not expecting any to arrive.

Exactly the same - bag had a quote on about self-love being the best kind, or some such nonsense. I did make DD squeal in horror and throw it across the room when I said the phrase "self-love" always smacks of masturbation to me.

My 17 year old daughter loves a tote bag but has already decided she's not walking around with everyone thinking she has no self control. I will use it inside out as it's quite sturdy 😆

I sent a screenshot of the above to DD and she said "you're all dirty minded". 😂

Just had an email saying another box has been shipped. All very exciting and unexpected!

I had the same : they'd done that tote bag a couple of years ago so now I have two masturbation tote bags .

I was disappointed with the contents and wonder what will appear in the next one. I cancelled my subscription when they went tits up but have all least one more to arrive.

I cancelled mine about 4 years ago, because I had had enough of Percy and Reed hairspray and mousse!
