Anyone tried them, are they more comfortable ? Any recommendations ?

Yes! I use proper piercing ones, I.e. labrets and they are much more comfortable albeit a bit fiddly to put in from the back. If it’s an old lobe piercing you probably want 1mm by 6mm.

Yea, they are very old piercings ! I find the butterfly on my earrings uncomfortable now.
Also, I’m looking to get another one done and definitely don’t want a butterfly in it.
Can you recommend any ? I prefer gold/white gold as they can get a bit sore otherwise.

Threadless jewellery with the flat backs is definitely the way to go. Very secure and comfortable and unlikely to come out and get lost

Have a look at Tish Lyon. Lots of piercers are stockists

I like the soft plastic ones. You can trim the length to suit too.

If you’re looking to get another piercing go to a tattoo shop or proper piercing place. Not Claire’s! Not sure where you are but from my list above Astrid & Miyu does piercings.

I now try and only buy leverback earrings (for my first hole) but will look at the suggestions here for my others
