Overnight make-up?

Planning a weekend break with new(ish) bf and of course want to wake up looking better than I would if alone IYSWIM.
Looking for ideas of some light transfer-resistant make up (especially concealer, blush and eyeliner) that might last overnight if I apply it fresh before bed. I don't really want to go down the route of semi-perm or tatooed on make up.
Please, not replied about how bad this is for me skin, I know already :/

What is the weather like where you are? Is it hot and humid? Everything slides off my face at the moment apart from skin tints.

ChilliPB · 18/08/2023 20:22

Honestly I’d focus on looking after yourself (exercise, water, good diet etc) so your skin looks good, maybe some fake tan on the face and then get lvl lashes and brows done.

Another vote for Estée Lauder double wear. Does not move until you take it off. A few weeks ago I put it on at 5:30 am , stood on a golf cause in heavy rain for 5 hours , got home at 11pm make up was still perfect. I also sleep it after nights out. Does not move. I set it with a Laura Mercier powder.

How very early Jackie Collins!

I feel confident without makeup as long as I've got a tan and my eyebrows are done.

So he is newish. You are going away for the weekend. Are you saying you have never stayed the night yet?

TenOhSeven · 18/08/2023 20:37

Is this a joke thread? Surely no one is this vain/insecure?

And yet there is someone THIS condescening and caustic. Why on earth do people post on threads just to put other women down? Cop yourself on. If you have nothing to respond to the OP's question then find another thread you can immerse yourself in.

Rude

Op you do whatever makes you feel confident. Maybe get a facial or eyelash dye, clean your teeth if you get up in the night- whatever!

Early doors in a relationship it seems reasonable (but maybe not necessary for the BF - but maybe for your confidence)

when I had my DS1 I had a Caesarian and when returned to the ward there was a woman opposite who had also had a CS. In the morning she proceeded to put a full face of makeup on- think half an hour of application - before her DP/DH came to visit. I couldn’t even stand up and required a further painkiller injection to stand… 🙀 there was no makeup involved!

Reminds me of Mrs Maisel getting up early to put her makeup on and then getting back into bed before her husband saw her.

Of course, this was the 1950s, I didn't think women were still doing this in 2023 😲

Indeed. What a depressing thread. Is he getting up at the crack of dawn to make himself ready?

Purplehearts9066 · 19/08/2023 20:35

I get Russian lashes done - need infills every 3 weeks. While it's an undeniable ballache I feel soo much better about morning face with them done 🤣 and it also slashes the time I spend on make up because I'm perfectly happy just doing skincare/light foundation & eyebrows when my lashes are done.
Would defo second suggestions on lash lift/extensions & eyebrows. Have a lovely weekend!

I've noticed there's a few women with no seeming interest in fashion & beauty who seem to delight in hanging around the fashion & beauty forum just so they can chip in with snide comments about their lack of interest in fashion & beauty.

I’d fear pillow smudge honestly

Fake tan, tinted lashes and brows, and a bit of lip and cheek stain?
