Hair styling help

I’m growing my hair. It’s now almost at my shoulders but I can’t get it to hold a style despite using product. I’m probably using the wrong product but by lunch time my hair is a bit flat and it goes really soft and a bit static.

Can anyone help here?

I only condition my hair one or twice a week to stop it being so soft and flyaway. I have a lot of hair but it’s fine.

Product wise I’ve tried styling sprays to mousse.

What sort of style are you aiming for? And is your hair straight or does it have a wave?

My hair is also fine, lots of it, prone to being flyaway or limp. I’ve finally found a routine that works and I’m really pleased with how it looks, but I hesitate to recommend the products as they are expensive and what works for one person doesn’t always work for another.

With that caveat, this is what works for my fine hair. Wash and condition, then use Oribe Maximista on the roots and Davines Liquid Spell through the lengths. Tip head upside down and rough dry, then flip it back and use Dyson Air Wrap with the brush attachment to smooth, give extra lift at the front and twist around to shape the sides. If it needs it, I add a little serum on the ends.

The style holds for a couple of days until I wash it and I get complimented on my hair now which has never happened before.

It’s straight. It looks quite nice and a bit bouncy when I have dried it and used my babyliss big hair but by lunch it’s flat, soft and static/falling into my face.

I’d just like it to hold is shape and with a bit of structure/texture to it.

I don’t know what happened with my phone but only part of your post loaded. Thank you for responding with your styling. I appreciate it.

No worries. If you can get a sample or travel size of Liquid Spell to try then I’d recommend it.
