Mallet Trainers are they comfy?

I am looking at some Mallet trainers that have been reduced. I am sick of buying footwear that is uncomfortable though so don’t want to waste more money on something I hardly wear!

I can only get them online so can’t try them on but am hoping that trainers ‘should’ be comfy enough.

Does anyone own a pair that could tell me what they are like for comfort and fitting?

Ds has a pair that has a layer of wood in the sole so they don't bend like normal trainers. He really likes them and wears them all the time.

A layer of wood? That sounds painful! I just hope they don’t rip my feet to shreds!

Its one of the layers in the sole i think. God knows why! But he does wear them loads!

They must be comfy enough then if he wears them a lot!

Well I sized up because most reviews told me to and they are too big. Oops.

Oops. Can you exchange? DS has the right size and his fit ok.
