I feel like I'm going crazy! 🤪 I am looking for what I thought would be a simple style of pyjamas to take in my hospital bag/for post birth but I am struggling!

The requirements are:

Long sleeved top with buttons to facilitate breast feeding
Either cropped bottoms or petite fit as I'm a short arse
Black or as dark as possible to help hide any stains
Cotton/cotton mix so no polyester etc

Not too expensive ie not Seraphine prices - will be buying oversized so don't want to go all out on the spends...

Any help very very much appreciated!

Thank you 🙏🏻

Maternity wards are unbearably hot, so you might want to rethink the long sleeves. Also, I wore leggings and loose tops while in hospital. I didn’t wear pyjamas other than for sleeping, same at home. Just some thoughts that might make your search easier!

I wore massive black pants and a loose vest top/feeding vest for sleeping in hospital. Put joggers/long cardigan over them when up and about.

I had 3 sections and couldn't bear anything tight like leggings, and was a bit sore for changing outfits loads.

These look comfortable, you might need to take up the legs though

Have a look at the mens pjs in somewhere like next or M&S - I find they tend to be better quality/ nicer materials

MonsterCalling · 15/08/2023 15:24

You will boil in long sleeves on a maternity or postnatal ward. Join the Can I Breastfeed In It? Facebook group and browse the posts or ask there. They are brilliant.

I took 2 pairs of button up, long sleeved pjs to hospital but it was absolutely boiling! I ended up wearing a baggy nightie or a vest top with pants. Would pop pj bottoms on to walk around the ward

Their nibs

These ones might fit the bill https://www.theirnibs.com/products/womens-cotton-summer-capri-navy-blue-peacock-feather
or there are long sleeved ones.

Omg these are amazing (I have a peacock sleeve tattoo) thanks!
