FWIW I’m excited by this detail (from Chanel). I haven’t worn tights for years - black opaques just became too unbearably boring and unnecessary - but I used to love lacy tights. And I have a tall pair of boots that might welcome some updating from last year - so it’s all good.

More generally, loving the proportions and wearability; lots of grey trousers. And I’ll definitely be cinching the waists of my jackets.

Summer’s been such a bust (I have gone bare legged a grand total of three times here in Scotland) that I am already feeling excited about reliable autumn/winter clothes.

Good spot re the flash of lacy tights. I really like details that can freshen everything up without spending shitloads of money or a wardrobe overhaul; the kind of thing that's so simple I look at it and say to myself, dammit why didn't I think of that? and yet I never do.

I'll admit I'm struggling to get excited about black coats and white shirts, but I do like that 70s style collar on the Balmain shirt.

So these are 2023 trends, not the upcoming a/w season. Kind of interesting that none of these forecasted trends made much of an impact 🤷

Now I think about it, I do remember a bit of patterned tights chat last year, or even the year before? I'm sure they'll be back at some point.
