Flat shoe recommendations for Autumn

Hi all, I feel very back-to-school just now, buying clothes for when the weather turns! I need a new pair of flat shoes for work and I’m feeling uninspired, so asking for ideas. I normally wear slim black or grey trousers for work (to a very standard office job). Any recommendations for a stylish pair of flats to go with? I’m happy with either neutral or black, or a pop of colour, I just can’t seem to find a style I like just now.

Loafers?

Watching with interest - I normally go from sandals to boots when the weather turns, shoes can be really tricky, god knows why

Thanks yes loafers are an obvious choice @Niftythrifter, but I can never seem to find any I like. I’ve just browsed many black and navy pairs. Maybe I should try a really bright colour loafer instead.

I’m normally a boot person too @MeetMyCat. Easier to find a style I like, but I wanted a change.
