What make up do you wear on a daily basis if any? And how do you find the time/inclination to put it on?

Hi all, I have decided that I am in dire need of a make over, I am 42 years old and only ever wear make up when I am out for an evening and even then its a bit sparce, a bit of mascara and lippy.

I admire people who are not as lazy as me and make up every day, how can I motivate myself to get up that little bit earlier?

I have a fair colouring and blonde hair " whats hot and what not" for one such as I.

Nearly every day wear clarins colour tint or similar light foundation or tinted moisturiser, under eye pen, mascara, blusher (ruby millie face gloss or dior blush), lipgloss or lipstick.

Takes few minutes. I having to wash hair most mornings which is the pain. If wash it night before is all over place by morning.

Eye-bag concealer (better known as white gloss paint ), foundation, eye-liner, mascara, lip salve and lipstick. Every day. I can't beleive I typed that - I was the queen of the natural wind-swept look for years but at 43 that has morphed into bag-lady chic

Foundation~Max factor colour adapt,
cover stick if spotty!
Touche eclat,
No 17 shimmer pearls~light dusting
Rimmel black liquid liner~could not live without this!Look like a mole without
Maybelline, great lash mascara.

If I am going out for the evening I will add eye shadow and pencil eyliner, for more made up eyes.

I wonder sometimes whether it's more vain not to wear makeup??

thefortbuilder · 03/03/2008 21:14

tinted moisturiser
chanel light reflecting pen (like touch eclat but not YSL) - just discovered this and it's wonderful and worth the investment - lasts for ages!
dusting of pressed powder
bronzer - a matt one that doesn't look "made up" just a bit glowing
blusher
lip gloss
mascara

if i have time some chocolate eyeshadow

can all be done in about 5 mins flat

most days i wear this, although up until about 6 months ago i wore little or no make up!

look a bit younger and more vibrant this way though

i bought some brilliant mineral make up on a website called lily lolo and its well worth the few quid it costs il link it for you if you want its similar to the loreal one but cheaper and without a certain mineral that inflames sensitive skin

No need to get up earlier - gradually put it on over the course of the day. Every time you go in the bathroom from when you get up do the next step of your beauty routine.
